DVD released in ISO format
I finally made a DVD of the entire set of my films and FX tests. Well, I've had the DVD for a while. I just never bothered to make it avaible for download... Well, now I have. In the form of an ISO image. You can use any software you'd like to burn the image. It's a fully interactive DVD with a menu and everything. Nothing fancy. But enough to be entertaining. Two of my films featured on G4TechTV
G4TechTV is a station based in Canada. They wrote to me asking if they could show some clips from Disaster at Naboo and Saberfight 2004. Not being one to ever say no, I said, "Sure", and signed off the releases.
They actually showed BOTH films in their entirety!!

Here is a little ad for the show:

If you would like to see the show where the films were featured, follow this link and download the show for Oct. 1st (TOR023-20060930.avi)

Aieko released!
Yeah, man, I'm cranking shit out like mad this year!
This cartoon was done specifically for the Atom Films contest this year. It's all in the mail on the way to them now. With any luck, it will make the cut, and I will have my second ever entry in that contest.
Incidentally, I submitted Saber Fight 2004 also. Haven't heard anything back about that yet.

Saberfight 2004 released!
Yes!! This is the film that I was not able to enter into the contest that it was originally created for... I don't mean to harp on that, but it is a relevant part of the tale that brought this film about. See... If I had built this film from scratch for any other reason, I would have tried harder with sets and costumes. As it was, I was seriously limited by time to meet the contest deadline. So, what you see is all I had time for.
After all, I'm happy with the final edit of the film. Although, I think if I had more time to really flesh out the idea, this could have been a much better film.

Saberfight 2004 denied entry in contest>
Yeah... So, I made this film to enter in the TFN Lightsaber Choreography Contest III. It turns out that the ratio of fighting to not fighting moments in the film was off too much for it to be accepted in the contest. Bummer. But, that's okay though... I suppose I always knew there was a chance that might happen.
I will be releasing this film in a couple of weeks, with all of the FX finished. Hope you enjoy it!!

Fan Films Cast and Crew database is moving
The Fan Films Cast and Crew database is being moved off of it's original servers. TFN has decided to take it on on their site. the upshot of this is that, it's now on a more reliable and secure server, plus, I still own it and can continue to maintain it. I've been added to TFN's staff to help take care of it.

Episode III Revenge of the Sith, the actual trailer for the movie. It was released today. This meant that every nerd on the planet immediately started searching the internet for the trailer. A shocking number of them ended up here to download my trailer!

The result was roughly 4000 downloads in one day! I had to take the file off my main server to save bandwidth. I am now actively seeking new mirrors so I can get the film to all the people that are trying to get to it.

If you're one of those people that's trying to get it, be patient. You'll get it soon enough!

Intervention, my first Non-fan film, film, is released
Yes.... I finally made a film that is not a Star Wars fan film. It's also not a comedy. It's very heavy and serious, in fact.
Intervention was created for the 1st NP2k Film Fest Contest. It seems to have been met with very good reviews at the site. If you have anything to say about the film, here is the release thread.

Episode III Trailer playing at Fanzillacon in Worcester, Mass., June 11th - 13th
The single largest fan film event ever concieved by man or beast is taking place in Worcester, Mass (about an hour south of Boston) between June 11th and 13th. My Episode III Trailer will be playing at the Fan Film Showcase event!
We're talking large theater, here, folks. Lots of other fantastic films will be shown at the event. As an extra bonus, a good handfull of well respected fan film makers will be attending the event for workshops and general hanging around.

Tickets for Fanzillacon can be purchased through the site. If you expect to attend the event, buying the tickets online will save you money; they'll almost double at the box office the day of the Con.

The finalists for the Atom Films Contest are up for review
The finalists have all been posted. So far there is only 4. While it was only open for review to the members of Star Wars Hyperspace, it was getting murdered in the reviews. (Damn, I didn't think it was THAT bad...) Now that it's open to the general public it seems to be doing a LOT better. Thank you to all who have already given good reviews. And, thanks also to the one's that hated it. I wouldn't want anyone to lie...

In any case, if you've ever had anything to say about this film, now is your chance!! Click the link below.

Why Alderaan has been accepted as a finalist in the Atom Films Contest
To my complete surprise and utter delight, Why Alderaan? has been accepted as a finalist in the Atom Films Star Wars Parody Competiton this year!
This means that the movie in it's current form will no longer be available from this web site. It is for now. But once the paperwork goes through, I cannot host the film or show it at any festivals any more. It will exclusively be shown from Atom Film's site. And, at that, in it's edited form to make it legal for the contest.

Two major things had to be changed. The music was all John Williams original Star Wars music. I had to change that. Thanks to Håken "Zap" Andersson, I got a completely new score in place.
Also, one of the original actors dissappeared. This made it quite impossible to have him sign a release to use his voice. So, I replaced the character entirely thank to the voice talent of Mike Kane.

The brand new Fan Films Cast and Crew Database is finished.
With this program you can get information about films both finished and pending, as well as all the people involved in the production.

Plus, if you are a filmmaker yourself, you can enter your own personal information and records for your films.

Even though the whole thing is obviously very Star Wars oriented, the database is open to any and all independent productions.

New Fan Film Features Scenes from MY Films
TwoWithTheForce of the TFN Fan Films Forum has released her new film. It is a mock-interview with an author of a new book that slams Star Wars Fan Film creators and labels them as a bunch of losers.
The showreel section of the film includes many scenes from my Episode III Trailer and Why Alderaan.

New Effects test. How Many Kids...
I got a little mixed up while trying to clean up the huge pile of leaves in my yard. The kids were running around like crazy, and basically I couldn't get any work done. So, I decided to play along. I went and got my trusty camera and filmed the kids doing their thing. This is one that anyone with kids will get, for sure!
